That’s why we’re excited to introduce Matt Barkdull as our new Product Representative. Based in Texas, Matt will be covering key regions throughout the Permian Basin and greater southern United States.
A Career Built on Heavy Equipment Support and Service
Matt brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the heavy equipment industry. From managing rental fleets to leading field support operations, he’s worked with contractors who are no strangers to long hours, rugged terrain, and high-stakes deadlines. He holds an AAS in Diesel Equipment Technology and a BAS in Technology, with credentials backed by decades of real-world know-how.
His Houston base puts him right in the heart of the action. Ideally located to support oil & gas, pipeline, and infrastructure projects across West Texas, East Texas, New Mexico, and beyond.
Helping Contractors Work Safer and Smarter with Pipeline Construction Support
Matt will work directly with contractors to install LaValley Industries equipment, train operators, and provide fast, effective field service. Whether it’s a DECKHAND® install in the Midland-Odessa corridor or troubleshooting a TONGHAND® on a remote horizontal directional drilling (HDD) site, he’s here to help teams work safer and more efficiently.
“I’ve always enjoyed working side-by-side with contractors in the field,” Matt said. “There’s something rewarding about being part of a project’s success, especially in a region that powers so much of the country.” That mindset is exactly what makes him a great fit for LaValley Industries.
Before hitting the road, Matt spent some time with our crew in Bemidji, Minnesota, to dive into our products and culture. “Everyone was so welcoming, the team felt like family,” he said. “I look forward to doing more together and growing our support in the southern region.”

When he’s not out on a job site, Matt’s all about family life. He and his wife keep busy raising their three kids, staying active in the community through school programs and events. He also enjoys cooking, gardening and anything that gets him outdoors.
