Investing in our Community
LaValley Industries was built on a strong foundation of innovation without compromising the values and beliefs we adhere to at our company's core. We seek out like-minded community organizations that support initiatives that align with not only our greater goals, but our greater good as well.
These include programs that serve to foster an interest in STEM studies in area youth and encourage entrepreneurship and economic development in the region. In addition, our team participates and is heavily involved with events that benefit those who have lacked opportunity and support.
Manufacture Your Future
Manufacture Your Future is a homegrown initiative championed by dedicated individuals on the LaValley team that organize visits to 5th grade classrooms in the area to educate about opportunities in manufacturing and high technology.
Each spring, we host several groups of students at our campus in Bemidji for hands-on learning about the prototyping and design process, and options for careers in the industry. They also get a kick out of having a chance to operate LaValley Industries equipment themselves!
Angel Fund 5K
The Bemidji Angel Fund is a program that was created by Bemidji Area Schools Food Service to support debt accrued by students who are unable to pay for meals. They host an annual 5K run to support the fund, which many of our team members run each year for a good cause!
Civic Organizations
Involvement with several civic organizations in our area is key to building relationships and keeping in tune with our community's needs. We've been a sponsor for the annual and long-running Knights of Columbus Walleye Classic, and involved in programs dedicated to youth health and wellness, including BIO Girls and Lumberjack football and hockey boosters.
Community Sponsorships
There are several community organizations that we participate in sponsoring annual events and competitions. These include the annual fundraising event for the Headwaters Science Center, and sponsorships for the local high school robotics club: RoboJacks.
In general, we strongly support those who are curious about technology and our natural world. The tinkerers, the dreamers, those who want to make a difference in the lives of others, and those already working hard to accomplish great things. We see you!
Idea Competition
The IDEA Competition identifies the most promising ideas and entrepreneurs through a competitive process, awards cash to winners, and provides intensive follow-up assistance. LaValley Industries and its affiliated companies are proud to be majority sponsors of this annual event.
Team Involvement
LaValley Industries has always encouraged its team members to seek opportunities to give back to their communities. From event organization and participation to educating area youth and sharing knowledge, time and resources. We're dedicated to giving back and fostering strong, healthy and forward-thinking communities.
