RELIABLE NETWORKS NEED RELIABLE TOOLS

Utility tools and applications

People depend on street lights and utility poles to provide light, energy, and access to information. Interruptions in service are costly and inconvenient, so quickly restoring this infrastructure in a safe, reliable manner is critical.

Cranes, straps and chains are often used in the installation and replacement of pipe and poles, which can be unsafe, difficult to control, and inefficient. A simple grapple attachment offers more control, but still often needs intervention from additional tools and crew.

We believe there's a safer, faster, and better way to plant poles in the ground.

The PM1000™ pole grapple by LaValley Industries is about to grab a pole from a rack. The grapple is attached to a crane truck, and the rack is on the back of the truck. There is an operator in the foreground with their back turned to the camera.

  • Ability to grip and rotate poles of various shapes, materials and sizes in both horizontal and vertical applications
  • Powered by your crane truck or prime mover’s hydraulic and electrical circuits
  • Lift poles up to 1,000 lbs with a grip diameter ranging from 3-14 inches
  • Simple, sophisticated design for safe operation and maximum versatility in any setting

SOLUTIONS IN ACTION

Watch the PM1000™ pole grapple make quick work of light pole installation along a busy highway.

The PM1000™ was designed to this customer's specifications. They needed a tool that was capable of lifting and rotating tapered light poles from horizontal to vertical. The tool also had to rotate poles 360° while gripped for indexing and alignment. Lastly, the tool would need to work with their existing crane truck set up.

We created a tool their operators and electricians loved.
